Center Grove High School has produced many athletes over the years. Although they are all very skilled and talented athletes, there are some people worth noting above the rest. Here are the top 10 athletes from CGHS, in my opinion, without order.
- Trayce Jackson-Davis
Jackson-Davis is a six foot nine forward who plays on the Golden State Warriors alongside the NBA legend Stephen Curry. He played five years at Indiana University, like most people from Center Grove. Despite being drafted late in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft he spent his rookie year thriving this past year. During his time at Center Grove, he was named Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Jackson-Davis led the basketball team to semi-state against Ben Davis, falling in a close game (28-29). He finished his high school career having scored 1,802 career points. During his career he has set many records so far such as, being third in career points for Indiana University (2,258), most career rebounds for Indiana (1,143), most career blocks for Indiana (270), along with many other records he set for both IU and CGHS, with more possible for the The Golden State Warriors.

In Yeast’s senior year, he rushed for 1,525 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Curry is a terrific defensive end for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was ranked third out of all of Indiana and he was a top 100 player in the country for his class. Curry has played in all 26 games the past two seasons for OSU and received two Varsity O letters. He was named Mr. Football on the defensive line by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

Booker is another great defensive end, similar to Caden Curry. Despite not seeing game action at Minnesota, where he went to college in 2021, he transferred to Kansas where he was awarded the First Team All-Big 12 and the Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year. Booker was picked 144th in the NFL Draft to the Chicago Bears. He showed his worth during this preseason, which earned him a spot on the official Bears roster.

Marlin was a dominant point guard that played his freshman year at Purdue Fort Wayne University and then transferred to Indiana University, and shortly after he transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University. At Indiana Wesleyan he got on the NAIA First Team All-American two times and was awarded the Pete Maravich award in 2016. Marlin helped the team win the NAIA National Championship in 2016.
