Q: How long will you be at CGHS?

A: 10 months

Q: How long have you been playing soccer. What got you into it?

A: I’ve been playing for three years. My brothers got me into it because they’re playing, and I wanted to play too.

Q: When you heard about tryouts at the school, what went through your mind?

A: I thought I wouldn’t make it, so I thought it wouldn’t be worth it to even come. But also I thought that I would have a great time and meet new people and play soccer, obviously.

Q: How has your time been on the team so far and what would you like to do in the future?

A: It’s great actually, I’ve met some friends I guess. Through the season I want to get better because I think I can learn a lot here.

Q: What do you like to do outside of school and soccer?

A: I play the piano so I like to do that, and I also really enjoy spending time with friends. There are people that just don’t care, but most people are welcoming and talk to me.

Q: Have you noticed any major challenges?

A: I don’t know anything or anyone at all, so I guess I just have to build a whole new life.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the experience so far?

A: The food. I really like the food. And I think even the whole high school experience with football games and all that is great.
