Kate Obrzut, Staff Writer

Sophomore Kate Obrzut is currently in her first year of Publications. She decided to join for her love of photography. She spends her time in Publications taking sports pictures for the yearbook and social media pages. Obrzut is a member of the tennis team and loves to hang out with friends in her free time.

In first year child development, students are asked to take care of an egg as if it is their own child. Sophomore Kaylen Plunkard has this task. “While it was fun to show everyone my egg and decorate it, it was very interesting to notice how responsible and protective I truly have to be with it,” Plunkard said. “I have to make sure when it is on my desk in class it's somewhere where it can’t get bumped off as well as in the hallways making sure no one hits it.”

Sophomore Ava Sanders participates in a cultural potluck in her AP Human Geography class. Sanders contributed a German snack that is family favorite. “I prepared a snack that was a favorite of my family that still lives in Germany," Sanders said. "I was able to connect with them by making this. I was really able to see how many different heritage and ethnic groups are in the school and just in our class."
