Acting as a TA for choir director Mr. Norman, junior Alyssa McDonald helps organize costumes during her second period study hall. She also helps Mr. Norman with sorting through files and cleaning the choir room. “I like being a TA because I like being able to work behind the scenes with costumes and organizing stuff to help the choir program and to make things more efficient," McDonald said.

During the Homecoming Pep Rally, junior Makayla Woolfork, teacher Danielle Munn and junior Charlie Rolfsen pose for a photo. Rolfsen thought of the idea to make a pep rally to get students to go to the Homecoming game, and with the help of Munn and administration, was able to make it happen. “I think it’s a fun way to bring people together for a sporting event and it brings people to the event.” Rolfsen said.
This Week At CG (9/29-10/3)
Sophomore Jasnoor Bains drills into his dry-wall project. The project was a part of the curriculum in his construction class. “One of the main reasons I chose second-year construction is because I really enjoy the freedom Mr. Werner gives us," Bains said. "It lets me be creative and make projects my own, without limits.”
This Week At CG (9/22-9/26)
Juniors J Stout and Austin Petkovich create a poster in medical interventions. In Mr. Bishops tenth period class, students worked on their poster where they chose the topics of conjugation, transduction or transformation. “Currently, we are learning about bacterial conjugation, which is the transfer of DNA from one bacteria to another," Petkovich said. "We did a lab these past few classes to see what this looks like physically in a lab setting."

"Emmy Award-winning sports director Anthony Calhoun nominated Center Grove as one of the Top 10 “Best Student Section” in Indiana this past week. Junior Charlie Rolfsen has been working to bring awareness to these football games in order to create a larger student section. “I think that waving the flag should most definitely boost the amount of students attending the football games. It is not talked about enough around the school, and some kids have no idea when the game is or that there even is a game. I hope my flag can bring awareness to our sports team.” Every Friday, whether its home or away, Rolfsen is outside Door 9 making sure every student is aware there is a game that evening. “I love watching our schools football program, and I want everyone there to support them. It helps so much to have a whole section of peers rooting you on, and the team puts to much work into their to go unnoticed.”
This Week At CG (9/8-9/12)
In celebration of the start of senior year, the class of 2026 hosted the Senior Sunrise this morning on the football field with Chick-fil-a, donuts and coffee. Senior Ella Horvath attended and was able to celebrate senior year with friends. “I loved getting together with my friends to watch the sunrise and take some cute pictures,” Horvath said. “I loved how many people showed and the the sunrise was so beautiful too. It was such a good start to the morning to experience Gods amazing creations with amazing people.”
This Week At CG (8/25-8/29)
In Mr. Fry’s Ceramics class, senior Mackenzie Nuttle works on her shown coil sculpture pot. Students worked on creating three bases for their sculptures; a pinch pot, a slab with rounded edges, and a rolled up coil that makes a circle. “This was our first big project that we have done,” Nuttle said. “I really enjoyed the challenge of it though because it helped me learn how to piece different structures together.”

Sophomore Gabe Sunga is on staff for his first year. His primary focus is writing stories, but he has also contributed in photography and the yearbook. Sunga has run track and cross country both years of his highschool career. In his free time he enjoys playing video games and pickleball with friends.
Preet Panchal
Preet Panchal, Staff Writer
Sophomore Preet Panchal is a first year staff member with loads of passion. He wants to cover everybody in the school and share their amazing stories. Outside of school, he is the 2027 Student Council Treasurer and is a part of Math, Science, and Spanish NHS. He also plays for the school’s men’s volleyball team. At home, he enjoys reading and coding in his spare time.
Noah Poston
Noah Poston, Staff Writer
Freshman Noah Poston is currently in his first year of Publications. Poston focuses on making videos for CGTV, along with taking photos. Outside of school, Poston has two dogs, and he loves to spend his time playing baseball, scuba diving and hiking in National Parks.
