Sophomore Alissa Houpt has joined the track team this year with no previous experience. Most track athletes begin their career during middle school, but Houpt has only started running this year. Houpt was influenced to join by her family and friends who thought she would fit well within the sport.
“I’ve been told by several people that I should try it out and see how I do, ” Houpt said. “I’ve been told that I’d be good at it”
