General

The homecoming dance will be October 5 from 7-10 p.m. You must have an RDT on file in order to buy tickets. If you are bringing a guest from another school, you must pick up a form from the guidance office. Tickets will be on sale this week during lunch periods. They are $5 in advance, $10 at the door. If you plan to bring a guest from another school, please pick up a form in the Guidance Office. Due back Thursday, Oct. 3.

Homecoming Spirit Week begins Sept. 30.

Picture Retakes have been postponed because of printing delays for underclassmen photos. Lifetouch will take retakes, staff pictures, and pictures of anyone who was not here for registration on Oct. 7. CGHS will distribute underclassmen photos as soon as they arrive to the school.

Operation Bundle Up is in full swing! All CG schools will be collecting new and gently used coats through Oct. 11.

  • The Environmental Club will have their call-out meeting after school until 3:30 p.m. in Burskey’s room.

  • The Philharmonic and Symphonic orchestras will have their first concert in the auditorium at 7 p.m.

Sports

Monday, Sept. 30

  • IHSAA Boys Tennis Tournament Draw will be at 7 p.m. and can be streamed on IHSAAtv.org.
  • Developmental boys soccer will play Zionsville at 5:30 p.m. at the ZYSA Stadium in Whitestown.
  • JV and Freshman Volleyball will play at Whiteland at 5:30/6:45 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 1

  • Varsity boys tennis will play in their sectional match at home at 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

  • Girls JV  Soccer will face off against Carmel at Home at 5:30 p.m.
  • Girls Varsity Soccer will have their Senior Night game against Carmel at Home at 7:15 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 3

  • Boys Tennis will have their sectional championship at home at 4:30 p.m.
  • Volleyball will play in their county tournament at Edinburgh at   5:30 p.m.

  • Varsity football will face off against Pike in the Homecoming game at 7 p.m. The parade will start at 6:15 p.m. around the track, with floats and King/Queen announcements at halftime. The marcing band will also perform at halftime.
  • Meg Fosnot will represent girls golf as she competes in the state meet at Prairie View at 8:00 a.m.

Saturday, Oct. 5
