Sophomore Lily Williamson draws and cuts out shapes to put on the door of her star class. Many star classes competed for the best door decorated according to the homecoming theme “Under the Stars”. “I like spending star doing stuff like this because it’s different from what I normally do and not boring”, Said Williamson. “It’s fun to take a break from working.”

Sophomore Charlie Weir works on a math problem on her desk in Algebra II. The class was playing “math poker”, a game where students strategize and earn prizes for the most questions answered right. “I like it when we play games in class because I have a lot more fun doing my math,” Weir said. “It makes it exciting and everyone is more driven to do well.”

Sophomores Makenzie Wade and Brooke Abernathy hang out in the Hall of Excellence before school. The Hall of Excellence is a place where students can finish homework and socialize with friends before their school day starts. "I enjoy meeting with my friends early before school because it gives me time to relax and prepare for the day,” Wade said. “It gets me excited to go to school.”
