![In Andrea Teevan’s fourth year BioMed class, senior Avery Osborn writes in her BioMedical Innovation notebook. Center Grove competes in the highest level of high school athletics in the state. This level of competition has prepared me well for college

It was the best fit for me because I wanted to get the best engineering degree possible while also getting a chance to play basketball

[Getting] 4th at Cross Country State as a team my freshman year. Even though we got 3rd as a team my junior year, that 4th place finish was the best feeling.
How did Center Grove prepare you for athletics at the college level?
Center Grove has always had high standards athletically and I've been holding myself to those same standards. We have one of the best coaching staff's in the state, and they truly care about the sport. I've been coached to have a lot of discipline and toughness, and the physical training we do is also great preparation for college because of how intense it is.
Why did you choose your college?
It has one of the best actuarial science programs in the nation and is a Big 10 school, which is super competitive in sports. It's probably one of the biggest D1 schools that I can continue running at.
What are you most excited about for college athletics?
