Junior Ella Timmons discusses community outreach idea with fellow SALT members. The club meeting on Wednesday allowed students to discuss successes and failures of the previous Trick or Treat with the Trojans event and they plan future community outreach events for the next sports seasons. ”SALT is important because it’s a way to share ideas with other student athletes like yourself,” Timmons said. ”It’s rewarding to spread positivity and smiles throughout our community.”

Junior Claire Lollar listens on the phone during "Bye Bye Birdie". Claire plays the role of Kim McAffee in the musical. "I love theater," Lollar said. "It's just a different way to express yourself compared to other forms of art. It's just a fun way to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. The different shows each year have a different dynamic especially figuring out the show, the sets, all the transitions and the costuming. It's also a different bond. Last year, it was like a family and this year it's even more of a family. Even though it's still a lot of people, we all have gotten so close over the past few months."

Sophomores Sierra Ferry and Addi Badger build protection for their egg drop during the Science National Honors Society meeting. Students went out to the band tower and then proceeded to drop their egg to test their egg’s protection. “It was fun building the contraptions for the drop and I liked seeing how creative everyone was being,” Ferry said.
This Week at CG (10/21-10/25)
During the HOSA officer election meeting, junior Ethan Zheng gives a speech on why he should be elected. Zheng is ran for president elect and committee chair this year. “I want to make a good impact on the club, including providing an engaging environment where people can grow in their knowledge, leadership, skills, and teamwork skills, as well as providing opportunities for members in order for them to be able to excel in the medical field in the future,” Zheng said.
This Week at CG (10/7-10/11)
Bring Change 2 Mind Club takes a photo at the suicide prevention walk. This event spread awareness with a social event on Monday, Sept. 30. “My favorite part so far is probably the community that we have created,” freshman Isabel McKay said.
This Week At CG (9/30-10/4)
Junior Ella Jansing works on a craft during a Spanish Honor Society meeting. During this meeting students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by doing various activities. “For Hispanic Heritage Month we were making worry dolls, which are a traditional craft,” Jansing said. “My favorite part was working with the people around me to think of creative designs for our dolls.”
This Week at CG (9/23-9/27)
Sophomore Lily Williamson draws and cuts out shapes to put on the door of her star class. Many star classes competed for the best door decorated according to the homecoming theme “Under the Stars”. “I like spending star doing stuff like this because it’s different from what I normally do and not boring”, Said Williamson. “It’s fun to take a break from working.”

Senior Gourav Pany has been on staff for four years. He started his Publications career in his freshman year when writing stories about fantasy football and school features. Pany is a website editor and is currently working on sports and student features for the website, along with weekly sports previews. Pany would like to note that he likes writing, sports (especially soccer) and running.

Nova Hunter, Staff Writer
Freshman Nova Hunter is in her first year of staff. She has spent her time writing web stories, creating Instagram captions and working on the yearbook. Hunter spends her time cheering at football and basketball games. She is also a member of StuGo. Hunter enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Sophomore Ameerah Ayanfowora is a first year staff member. In Publications, she has helped contribute to yearbook spreads and article features. Outside of publications, Ayanfowora loves baking and spending time with her family.

Claire Wood, Staff Writer
Sophomore Claire Wood has been on staff for a year and a half. She began working in Publications due to her love for photography and yearbook design. Wood is the clubs editor, meaning she is responsible for keeping track of club meetings and ensuring they are covered. Wood also loves taking sports pictures.
Bailey Emerson
Bailey Emerson, Staff Writer
Sophomore Bailey Emerson is in her first year of Publications. She chose to join because of her passion for writing and photography. She enjoys working on yearbook mods and videos for CGTV. Emerson is in show choir as a member of the Debtones and she loves spending time with her family and friends.
