Even though I have only been part of publications for two years and an editor for one, I am grateful for the impact it has had on me. I am grateful for the platform it has provided me to freely share my opinions as well as bring light to others’ stories that wouldn’t have been recognized otherwise. I am also grateful for the friendships I gained throughout my experience and the constant mentorship and support I received from Ms.Warner and Mrs.Tedrow.
Even though I do not plan on pursuing a career in journalism, I know the skills and life lessons I learned in publications will stick with me for the rest of my life.

As I head off into the sunset, I wanted to take this moment to thank the people that I have covered for allowing me to do so. I’ve been a member of PUBS for four years, and been an editor for three, but I wouldn’t have continued if it weren’t for the love I have seen in this community. From day one, the stories that this school holds have continued to stupefy me.
I leave the Trojaneer a better man because it taught me to care. So, for my farewell, I’d like to thank every person that I wrote a story about, but especially a special few:
The robotics team, for being my first story.
Landen Montfort, whose story made me fall in love with writing and won me my first award.
Hallie Mimbela, Eddie Goss and Addie Crowe, for showing me the characteristics of a Trojan that I live up to.
Ely Detty, Emilee Franklin, Mason Vrshek and Khloie Walker, because every success you have is one I celebrate, too.
Thank you to Charlie, Jack, Finn and Julia for being my co-editors through these three years. Especially Jack and Finn, who mentored me into the writer I am today.
Lastly, thank you to Ms. Warner and Mrs. Tedrow for the help you’ve provided over the years. You turned this shy kid into a fully fledged writer, and I have only you to thank for it. As much as I hate to admit it, you guys were always right about everything (almost).
