General

  • Homecoming Dance Forms to bring a guest from another school are now available in the Guidance Office. Don’t wait! They are due by Oct. 3.
  • Stop by the Dean’s Office and check the Lost & Found. Anything not claimed by Oct. 11 will be taken to Goodwill.

Academic

  • College reps will be here this week to meet with students during STaR. Stop by the guidance office for a pass.
    • Grace College will meet with students on 9/12.
    • Marine Corp will meet with students on 9/13.
    • Looking ahead, UIndy will be here 9/16, Franklin College will be 9/17, U of Evansville will be 9/19, Brescia U will be 9/20.

Clubs

  • There will be a callout meeting and practice for the JV and Varsity quiz bowl teams on Monday (Sept. 9) in Room 283 until 4 p.m. See Mrs. Cullom in Room 283 if you can’t attend or send her an email: [email protected].
  • SAFE (Students Advocating For Equality) club will meet every Monday after school until 4 p.m. in Room 291.
  • CGHS Gender Club has their first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 12 in Room 207.
  • BPA (Business Professionals of America) callout will be Thursday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. in Room 300. If you can’t make it, see Mr. Bowers in Room 300 or Mrs. Nolan in Room 302 for details.
  • Looking ahead, book Forum will hold its first discussion on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 a.m. in Room 162. They will discuss The Shining by Stephen King. See Mrs. McDougal in Room 162 with questions.

  • Monday, Sept. 9
    • JV and Varsity girls soccer will take on Warren Central away at 5:30 p.m./7:15 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 10
    • Varsity Girls Golf will face Columbus North & Franklin at 4:15 p.m. at Hillview CC.
    • Varsity and JV Boys Soccer will face Warren Central away at 5:30 pm/7:15 pm.
    • Varsity, JV and Freshman Volleyball will face North Central away at 6:00 p.m./6:00 p.m./7:15 p.m.
    • Developmental Boys Soccer will take on Noblesville at 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 11
    • The Varsity Boys Tennis team will take on the winner of Edinburgh/Franklin at 4:30 p.m. in their county tournament.
    • Varsity and JV Girls Soccer will face Ben Davis at home at  5:30 p.m./7:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 12
    • Varsity and JV Girls Golf will face Bloomington North at 4:30 p.m. at Cascades GC.
    • Varsity Boys Tennis will have their county championship at home at 4:30 p.m.
    • Varsity and JV Boys Soccer will take on Ben Davis at home at 5:30 p.m./7:15 p.m.
    • Varsity, JV and Freshman Volleyball will face Perry Meridian away at 5:30 p.m./5:30 p.m./6:45 p.m.
    • Developmental Boys Soccer will take on Roncalli at home at 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 13
    • Varsity Football will have their annual Bantam Night vs. Ben Davis at Home at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 14
    • JV Girls Soccer will play in the Lebanon Tournament at 9 a.m.
    • Freshman Volleyball will play in the Brownstown Central Tournament at 9 a.m.
    • Boys and Girls Cross Country will race in the Ben Davis Invitational. Boys varsity is at 9:30 a.m., girls varsity is at 10 a.m., boys JV is at 10:40 a.m., and girls JV is at 11:15 a.m.
    • JV Volleyball will play in the Cathedral Tournament at 10 a.m.
    • JV Football will play against Ben Davis away at 10 a.m.
    • Freshman Football will face Ben Davis at home at 10 a.m.
    • Varsity Girls Golf will have the Franklin Central Invitational at 1:30 p.m. at Smock GC.
    • JV Girls Golf will have the Noblesville Invitational at 1 p.m. at Harbour Trees GC.
