Sophomore Hunter Gradert uses a nail gun in Greg Werner’s fourth period class. This week, students have been practicing with nail guns to make birdhouses in class. “I like this class because you get to do a lot of hands-on projects,” Gradert said.

Bring Change 2 Mind Club takes a photo at the suicide prevention walk. This event spread awareness with a social event on Monday, Sept. 30. “My favorite part so far is probably the community that we have created,” freshman Isabel McKay said.
This Week At CG (9/30-10/4)
Junior Ella Jansing works on a craft during a Spanish Honor Society meeting. During this meeting students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by doing various activities. “For Hispanic Heritage Month we were making worry dolls, which are a traditional craft,” Jansing said. “My favorite part was working with the people around me to think of creative designs for our dolls.”
This Week at CG (9/23-9/27)
Sophomore Lily Williamson draws and cuts out shapes to put on the door of her star class. Many star classes competed for the best door decorated according to the homecoming theme “Under the Stars”. “I like spending star doing stuff like this because it’s different from what I normally do and not boring”, Said Williamson. “It’s fun to take a break from working.”
This Week At CG (9/16-9/20)
Juniors Rabica Tial and Callie Painter sign up for AP Registration in the CGHS Auditorium. Tial and Painter both signed up for AP Lang and AP United Stated History. “Last year was my first year taking an AP class, so I knew how important registration was in order to take my AP tests in May,” Tial said.
This Week At CG (9/2-9/6)
Dressed for a D&D session later that day, freshman Owen Henessey watches a chess match unfold during a Chess Club meeting. Henessey had previously been a apart of his middle school chess club since he was in 6th grade, and had made good friends in that time. "I like competing with kids that I'm familiar with," Henessey said. "It's pretty high up on my priority list, and I intend to stay for most of the year."
This Week at CG | (8/26-8/30)
In an Honors Physics lab, sophomore Gavin Woods prepares to launch his rocket by pressing down on a bicycle pump. His classmates, also working with projectile rockets, were conducting their experiments to collect data for practicing calculations related to vertical motion. “We were measuring the time to see how long the rocket stayed in the air so that we could use that to calculate its speed,” Woods said. “We’re learning about vertical motion, so this lab helped us visualize that.”
