General

  • Picture retake day will be Oct. 7. A printing problem has delayed the return of underclassman pictures. The school will distribute them as soon as we receive them.
  • Homecoming Dance Forms to bring a guest from another school are now available in the Guidance Office. They are due by Oct. 3.
  • Stop by the Dean’s Office and check the Lost & Found. Anything not claimed by Oct. 11 will be taken to Goodwill.

Academic

  • College Go! Week begins Sept. 23 with Spirit Week.
    • Monday – Future Occupation
    • Tuesday – Dress like your favorite teacher
    • Wednesday – Favorite College T-shirt (staff can wear jeans on this day)
    • Thursday – Throwback to the 90’s
    • Friday – College Sweatshirt DaySend pictures of your spirit attire each day to Mrs. Chaplin ([email protected]) and be entered for a chance to win prizes.
  • College Reps in Guidance during STAR. Students may talk with representatives or just pick up information.

Clubs

  • Math National Honors Society will have our first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. in room 334 on Thursday, Sept. 26. This is a call out meeting for new members and an opportunity for all old member to discuss the upcoming years activities. Attendance will be taken!
  • Book Forum will hold its first discussion on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 a.m. in room 162.  They will discuss “The Shining” by Stephen King.  See Mrs. McDougal in 162 with questions.

Fine Arts

  • Marching Band will perform at the Greenwood Invitational on Sept. 21.
  • CG Choirs will host Fall Fest on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.

  • Monday, Sept. 16
    • Varsity and JV Boys Tennis will play Bloomington North at home  at 5 p.m.
    • Varsity and JV Girls Soccer will take on Pike at home. JV plays at 5:30 p.m.; varsity plays at 7:15 p.m.
    • Developmental Boys Soccer takes on Avon at 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 17
    • JV Girls Golf  plays Warren Central & North Central. They tee off at 4:00 p.m. at Morning Star Golf Course.
    • Varsity and JV Boys Tennis  play at Brebeuf  at 5 p.m.
    • Varsity and JV Boys Soccer play Pike at home, JV at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity 7:15 p.m.
    • Varsity, JV and Freshmen Volleyball  play Warren Central at Home at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 18
    • Girls Varsity & JV Soccer will play Lawrence North  @ 5:30 pm and 7:15 p.m.
    • Boys Soccer (Developmental) will play against Carmel at Home @ 5:30 p.m.
