We are so grateful for donations, as each donation helps to pay for the annual renewal of our website. Any additional funds are then used to buy equipment for student journalists to use as they cover the day-to-day events at Center Grove High School.

Humans of CG: Best Buddies Edition
Sophomore Ethan Wix cuts onions for a pasta dish for Culinary. For this dish, students made Chicken Alfredo to help them with their cooking skills that they can use at home or school. “We’re cooking a Chicken Alfredo meal,” Wix said. “This is helpful if I ever have to cook at home because I already know different knife cuts and other skills.”

Getting a selfie with a friend, senior Brooke Ward participates in the senior walk. “My favorite part of graduating is being able to go off on a new adventure. High school gave me the tools I needed to gain confidence and exposed me to different types of classes,” Ward said.
Seniors bid farewell to Center Grove in their final walk around campus
Rylan Mullins drives down the court into the opposing team’s territory after transitioning from defense to offense. “The hardest game that I've played this season had to have been our last game before the tournament,” Mullins said. “Our team had only won one game going into this game. The games we lost were close and hard losses. Losing can cause you to play worse, but in this case it made me wanna play better so we could win.”

Seniors who put pen to paper at recent signing day answer questions about their athletic future
At the Sept. 1 football game, senior Ivanna Rodriguez performs the first part of the show at halftime without costume. Rodriguez, part of the weapon line, said, “I enjoyed doing this part of the show because we worked during band camp. It was my last time learning the beginning of a marching show and learning it and performing it meant something to me.”
Highlights from the 2023 Center Grove Marching Band season
Smiling, senior Mackenzie Hausdorfer shakes hands with Superintendent Rich Arkanoff while posing for a photo and accepting her SYCGA diploma. Once a month on Thursdays, SYCGA attendees participated in learning opportunities with community members. This included CPR training with Craig Zollars of the White River Fire Department and a Veteran’s Day event.
