What got you into collecting vinyls?
“I have always really liked music and my grandparents collect a lot of vinyls. So I was like ‘Oh my gosh that’s super cool.’ I also don’t want to be one of those people who listens to music all the time off of streaming services, so I started collecting them around three years ago. Before I had a record player and I was in Target I would always book it to the record section and I’d be like ‘What should I get when I get a record player?’”
How do you get your vinyls?
“I’ve waited at Target; I have also waited at Square Cat Vinyl for Black Friday and record store day and that is always super fun because they give out doughnuts and stuff.”
What is your favorite vinyl that you have gotten?
“I have a lot of vinyls to choose from. I got the TTPD Taylor Swift one from Target that was limited, and my sister dropped it and I was really upset because she damaged it. But I would probably say that one is my favorite.”
What is your dream vinyl to get?
“I’d really like to get Taylor Swift ‘Lover (Live from Paris),’ which is a heart shaped vinyl. I just really want that one or the Role Model’s vinyl I missed out on Record Store Day. I’m so sad; it was a Record Store Day exclusive and it had live songs on it and ran out when I got there.”
How often do you collect them?
“I’m addicted to Target, so anytime I always debate on getting one or not. But I have a lot at home and I listen to it everyday because I have to get my money’s worth out of it.”
