When people think about prom, they usually picture dresses, tuxes and dancing. However, one of the most overlooked parts of the night is dinner. Where you choose to eat can either elevate the entire experience or turn into a stressful scramble for seating and timing. If you and your prom group want a smooth and memorable start to your night, choosing the right restaurant is key. Luckily, there are plenty of great options to consider.
- Antilogy – $
If you’re looking for a local restaurant to eat at before prom, consider checking out Antilogy. The restaurant is locally owned and operated, making it a great way to support small businesses while still enjoying a quality meal. Its relaxed atmosphere makes it a solid option for groups that want something simple and convenient before heading to prom.
- Rick’s Boatyard – $
In my opinion, Rick’s Boatyard is a superior venue for dinner. The restaurant has a combination of indoor and outdoor dining, with plenty of parking and a large but affordable menu. They accommodate parties of any size, and also have a variety of seating options that allow those in more voluminous dresses to dine comfortably. If you’re looking for a calm environment with excellent views, consider making your reservation there.
- Cheesecake Factory – $$
Aside from having the best selection of cheesecake, the Cheesecake Factory menu is often joked about for its dictionary of a menu. The restaurant offers over 40 unique dishes, which is incredible for groups with many different taste preferences. The restaurant is also conveniently located at the Greenwood Park Mall, making it an easy meeting spot. However, the Cheesecake Factory doesn’t offer reservations over the phone until a few days prior to the booking, so make sure to download their mobile app in order to ensure your party’s reservation.
- The Old Spaghetti Factory – $$
The Old Spaghetti Factory is an excellent choice for prom dinner, especially if your party is all on the same page about the type of cuisine they want to eat. Additionally, the restaurant’s interior is a beautiful mix of old and new style, giving the venue a classic feel.
- Iozzo’s – $$$
Iozzo’s is perfect if you’re going to prom with a small group who is comfortable with spending more for a meal. Their authentic Italian food is fresh and flavorful, and the restaurant offers many shareable dishes as well. If you are looking for a more upscale and memorable dining experience, Iozzo’s is definitely worth considering.
